Cheerful Florals Bloom in Marimekko's SS24 Collection
The Finnish design house is celebrating the 60th anniversary of its floral Unikko print this year.
Celebrate the beginning of Spring with these vibrant picks from Marimekko's Spring/Summer 2024 collection. Imagined in the brand's signature colour palette, the SS24 collection is first and foremost a celebration of Unikko — one of Marimekko's most iconic prints. From brightly patterned shift dresses to mod minis and cheerful matching sets, the collection honors Marimekko's penchant for florals in an endless array of playful silhouettes and joyful hues.
To complement the legacy of Unikko, Marimekko has introduced five completely new abstract floral prints by Finnish artist Antti Kekki: Helakka (bright), Kolmikko (triplet), Malja (toast), Nokturno (nocturne) and Poiminto (pingins). Reflecting Kekki’s signature papercut technique, these designs are reminiscent of the essence of Unikko yet highly individual in aesthetic.
The collection's vibrant palette is inspired by the original colorways of the brand's iconic Unikko print, featuring harmonious tones of Dijon brown and antique white with prism pink, tangerine, and sodalite.
